Improve the look and security of the entrance to your home

Wooden gates naturally integrate into their surroundings and, if looked after, can last for years.

Wooden gates naturally integrate into their surroundings and, if looked after, can last for years. You may want a gate in your garden or boundary for additional security, to keep children or pets safe or simply to provide a kerb appeal to your home. Whatever purpose you have in mind, our experts will professionally install your gate the highest specifications.

What types of gates do you install?

There is quite a choice when it comes to wooden gates. There are different types of wood including oak, teak, and iroko, or softwoods such as Scandinavian redwood and cedar. Gates also come in different styles and many sizes. At Two Hills Fencing we can help you decide on which gate is best for your home whether it is a garden gate, side gate, field gate, estate gate or driveway gate..

Step 1: Home Consultation and Assessment

Before starting work on your gate we will, of course, come to your home to understand what you are looking for and discuss the best options when choosing a gate. There are many options that suit all budgets and by going through them together we can find the most suitable gate for your home.

    Step 2: Measuring and planning

When you are happy with the gate you have chosen we’ll put plans in place for installation. We’ll measure up, mark out excavation pits for posts, order fixings, posts and the gate. When all is in place we’ll fit your new gate.

Step 3: Installing the Posts, Fixings & Gate

To provide the best foundation we will excavate the pits to insert the posts and concrete them in. The fixings are then inserted and the gate(s) can be measured carefully to ensure they are fixed correctly and they are dragging on the floor or a huge gap is left at the bottom.

    Step 4: Checking and testing

We will ensure all fixings are attached correctly and the gate opens and closes smoothly and cleanly. If anything needs more attention we’ll adjust it right away, leaving you to admire your new gate.
